Set up your browser extension
Use the browser profile where you are signed in to the AI accounts you want to track. Keep your existing Tokenkarma setup.
Contact supportIf your app shows “Set up the extension”
The following steps apply to the coordinated 0.2.0 setup when it is available in your app. If you do not see this button, use the independent installation instructions below.
- Select “Set up the extension” in Tokenkarma. The app opens the Chrome Web Store and a connection tab in your compatible browser, then waits for the connection.
- Add the extension from the store. Keep the Tokenkarma connection tab open.
- Return to the connection tab, check the Tokenkarma account shown and confirm. You do not need to copy an association code or sign in to Google again.
- Return to the app. It checks the association automatically. Existing collection continues while Tokenkarma checks the readings from the extension.
The transition is checked per account. A working local connection is only paused when the extension provides matching coverage. Missing or stale extension data keeps or resumes the local connection.
Install independently or with an older app
- In that browser profile, open the official Chrome Web Store listing and add the Tokenkarma extension.
- Open the extension and follow its sign-in instructions. Use the same Tokenkarma account as your desktop app.
- Open the supported AI services in the same profile and check that you are signed in to the expected provider accounts.
- Check the extension’s collection status, then return to Tokenkarma to check the usage received.
I use Safari
The Chrome Web Store extension cannot be installed in Safari. Use a compatible browser for the AI accounts you want the extension to read. You do not need to change your default browser.
I use several profiles
Each browser profile has its own extensions and signed-in accounts. Installing the extension in one profile does not connect the others.
I installed the extension separately
Open the extension and check which Tokenkarma account you used to sign in. It should match the account in your app. The Tokenkarma account and the AI provider account serve different purposes: one receives your readings, the other is the source of those readings.
